I'm very thankful for technology's gift of the wifi radio. So much so in fact that recently, I couldn't help myself and bought two. Why, you might ask? Originally a New Yorker, I grew up on AM radio, namely WABC-770AM, the flagship station for Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, and Bob Grant amongst others....as well as Cousin Brucie and Dan Ingraham in their AM music days. The radio provides over 5000 choices of the best in world radio, for free...and is very addictive, especially during political seasons. Well, last year, they re-invited Imus back to WABC Newsradio after his Rutgers Girl Basketball racist commentary, and so WABC developed a morning-only left wing flavor. Imus invited former Muscovite Matt Taibbi, son of the well-known lawyer-journalist Mike Taibbi, to speak about his new book, The Great Derangement. This book, like his others, is just one more assault on: President Bush and our Government, our "contrived reasons for going to war, our corruption in Washington, and of course, any attempt we make to neutralize the barbarous motives of the Islamofascists, whom he refuses to address as such. Taibbi used the book interview with Imus to denigrate former Christian acquaintances which he made as a "plant" at a John Hagee retreat-undoubtedly with intent to undermine McCain in the future. His early life, spent mostly jogging in Uzbehkistan, resulted in his expulsion from and by that country...that says something about how left-leaning this guy is...too much even for former Iron Curtain states!. I am continually amazed at just how out of touch the far left is with regards to the underlying mechanism of Islamofacist hatred for our modernity, our JudeoChristian ethics, and our liberty. One would think that a "journalist" as well-traveled as Taibbi would have even a mediocre understanding of these issues and their history. Yet, he glosses over them for the sake of maintaining his blatantly socialist, anti-Zionist, constantly irreverent spiel that helps protect his tenure at the Rolling Stone. Unfortunately, Imus was all over Taibbi, agreeing with virtually every opinion he espoused, and Imus has done this at least once a week ever since he returned to the airwaves last year. Perhaps I have spent too much time discussing Taibbi...but perhaps not. He has written so many Amazon top-50 books of an anti-American nature that I felt it time to expose him for the anti-American that he is. He views our Republic, founded by the genius of John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and Richard Henry Lee, amongst others, as a deranged melange suffused with right-wing insanity. When will he and his ilk finally "get it?" That this Republic is the civilized world's best experiment in liberty ever?
